Over the weekends, I caught the latest movie, Maleficent and let’s just say, I absolutely love what I would call twisted fairy tales – the retelling of the fairy tales that you loved when you were just tiny lil’ kiddos, with a twist. This movie is exactly what it’s about.

Movie Review: X-Men: Days of Future Past
Man oh man! If I can describe this movie in one word: Whiplash – a word used by Quicksilver that I’m going to borrow here. If you have not yet watched the movie and going to watch it, you need to come in with an open mind and know that everything that you have watched of the X-Men movie franchise for the many past years will be wiped out. Zilch. Basically, if you come in to the theatre with amnesia of what had happened in the past movies, with the exception X-Men: First Class, that’d be brilliant! I mean, I’m eating chocolate rolls while writing this review because my brain just turned into a mush after watching this latest movie of my favourite bunch of mutants.
Movie Review: Godzilla
From the poster above, you will see the actors’ names and all but let’s be honest here, after watching the movie, all these actors are just co-stars. The main lead of this movie is Godzilla itself. Also, this version of Godzilla is actually cute. No, really, I want my own Godzilla. Can I have this version of Godzilla to be my own Godzilla? Can I have a plushie of this Godzilla?
Movie Review: The Amazing Spiderman 2
Earlier today was the second time I watched this movie, partly because I promised my 9-year-old nephew that I would bring him to watch the movie, which he did for more than half of the movie before he fell asleep, and partly because I wanted to see Dane DeHaan’s face one more time. Yes, everyone, I have a new celebrity crush.
Movie Review: Transcendence
Movie Review: Captain America: The Winter Soldier
I watched this movie twice and it’s not because I really loved it but because it’s a superheroes movie. The thought that my nephew would enjoy it made me decide to watch it the second time. It was a good decision as well because due to the immense headache I had while watching the movie the first time, I forgot some of what happened in the movie.
Movie Review: Divergent
Movie Review: 300: Rise Of An Empire
I like when a movie goes straight into the action without delay and this movie is it. I had not even put the popcorn into my mouth and the action had begun with the voice of Cersei Lannister, I’m sorry, no, I meant Queen Gorgo, narrating with such power and authority that was befitting of a queen leading thousands of men into battle.
Movie Review: Non-Stop
Movie Review: Pompeii
When a movie is based on or inspired by a true historical event, it’d be harder to make a story seemed real when it’s obviously fake. But some people had successfully done so, and one of them would be James Cameron for Titanic. Paul W. S. Anderson might not be as successful as James Cameron, however.
