Earlier today was the second time I watched this movie, partly because I promised my 9-year-old nephew that I would bring him to watch the movie, which he did for more than half of the movie before he fell asleep, and partly because I wanted to see Dane DeHaan’s face one more time. Strangely, of all Nick Hornby’s books that I’ve picked up, I didn’t pick this one up first. No siree! The first book that makes me fall in love with Nick Hornby was actually “How To be Good”. So, when I saw this book in the bookstore, I was like: “The title seems familiar” and like a book hit on the head (hur hur), it occurred to me that it’s the movie. But of course, the book comes first before the movie. But yes, I was slow.

Well, this took a long time to finish. I had reasons (or excuses) – I was distracted by other books to read and also because I sort of gave up with this book.

I love crime thriller books and crime thriller and gay characters? It should be right down my alley because as a fangirl with a favourite OTP, special agents who are also lovers is a plot that I’ve read plenty of times in fanfictions. And what better way than to read a novel with original characters, right?

Movie Review: Captain America: The Winter Soldier

I watched this movie twice and it’s not because I really loved it but because it’s a superheroes movie. The thought that my nephew would enjoy it made me decide to watch it the second time. It was a good decision as well because due to the immense headache I had while watching the movie the first time, I forgot some of what happened in the movie.
