Game of Thrones Season 5 trailer was out two days ago and I’ve watched it for about 5 times now but still can’t make heads or tails about it even though I’ve read so many spoilers of it. Mind you, I did not read the books and from what I’ve heard, the show is going to differ slightly from it. There were just so many things happening in the trailer that I do not know what to screengrab so I went for the below because I do love Sansa and I would love to see the development in her story in this upcoming season.
As I had mentioned before, there were just so many things in the trailer I do not know where to begin. Of course, we saw Cersei and Jamie mourning the death of their father and she knew the death was caused by Tyrion, who was now seen with Lord Varys in what possibly could be where Daenarys is. Talking about the Mother of Dragons, she looked like she’s in deep trouble with the very last scene we saw in the trailer was the statue being brought down. We also saw Jon Snow leading a pack for god-knows what (too quick and too many things happening at the same time for me to find out what’s going on) and his wandering little sister, Arya, was seen picking up a sword and his other little sister, Sansa, was with Littlefinger, who mentioned to avenge them and I guess I know who the “them” is. The trailer also showed Margaery Tyrell marrying the new king, Tommen Baratheon, Missandei having a romantic moment with Grey Worm, Melisandre doing god knows what, and the Sand family.
I’m sitting here just feeling overwhelmed. As much as I’m excited about the new season, I’m also quite miffed that we did not get to see Lady Stoneheart. I was expecting that, honestly. If you do not know who Lady Stoneheart is, she’s simply the zombie-fied version of Catelyn Stark, who was brought to life and seek to take the lives of all those who killed her family. To watch that unfold would have been absolutely awesome but alas, the creators of the TV show decided to go elsewhere with it. I’m not sure what will happen with the revenge part of that but I have a feeling that that role might be going to Sansa, who we saw was told by Littlefinger to seek revenge on those who killed her family.
Love it or hate it? I’m not so sure. I’m pretty sure it’s going to be epic but there were just so much going on in the trailer that I’m left a little bit confused. I am still going to watch the show obviously and be writing reviews of each episode as it goes.
The trailer…

I’m intrigued by the new trailer as well. I’ve heard of Lady Stoneheart so thought we might get a glimpse of her. Should be interesting to see where they take this. I did a review/analysis of what we see in the trailer if you want a read.
