I know I’m currently sick with a nose that’s running non-stop but I don’t know what I just watched, you guys. Did I just fall into the rabbit hole?
You see Becky in the above screengrab? Yes, that’s basically me throughout the entire episode. Let me explain…
In the first part of this two-parter episode, we see Sue possibly being the mouthpiece of the Glee fandom – She’s a Klaine shipper (when did that happen? She even had a altar of Klaine pictures!) and told Mr Schue off about forgetting the band who could play any songs at the drop of the hat and also the “black guy who could dance really well”. On top of that she was trying to break Rachel’s heart and simultaneously get rid of Glee club. This episode is basically the Sue Sylvester’s show.
I couldn’t focus on anything but the fact that Sue is a Klaine shipper? What is going on? Throughout the episode, she was trying to get Blaine and Kurt together and break Blaine and Karofsky up. You know, I don’t like Blaine and Karofsky but good lord, I’m just baffled because it came out of nowhere. The previous seasons she never cared at all about Blaine and Kurt and suddenly she did? Though her actions to mend the relationship is actually really funny like putting a bear cub in Blaine’s and Karofsky’s apartment because she found out that Karofsky likes “bears” and finding out that both Blaine and Karofsky were related. But still… On that note, it seems that Kurt and Blaine do love each other but neither of them is taking the step to admit as such. Blaine looked a little disappointed when Kurt said that he’s going out on a date with Walter, whom we eventually found out is an old man. Creepy…
Even though I found her obsession with Kurt and Blaine baffling, it does not compare to how I felt about her using Sam to break Rachel’s heart – 1) The hypnotizing of Sam is just ridiculous. 2) The Sam and Rachel playing the piano and travelling to god knows where is also ridiculous. I know the song is called “A Thousand Miles” and if I recall correctly, Vanessa Carlton’s video involved her playing a piano while travelling on the road but that video is beautiful while the Glee version is just hilarious.
Lastly, why is New Directions even participating in the invitationals when there are only four of them? Why? I know Sue was the one who organized it to sabotage New Directions but what are Kurt and Rachel doing? My goodness, get a move on! You only have 9 more episodes to go!
All-in-all, this episode is ridiculous but since my expectation is zero, I guess I can say I enjoyed it (while headdesking half the time). It’s Glee after all.
The promo for the next episode…
