Well, everything has led up to this point, hasn’t it? So, ladies and gentlemen, the final episode of Teen Wolf Season 3A is finally here and of course, Siti has her thoughts on it. A blogger does what a blogger is good at, y’know what I mean?
We left the last episode with Scott, Stiles and Allison being dunked into cold water. Deaton said that they would be dead for 5 seconds but apparently not. They were out for 16 hours but during that period of time, they found out where the nemeton (or however you spell the name of the tree) was. They were apparently there before. Every single one of them. Wow.
Before they got to be heroes and saved their parents, Ethan approached Lydia to help Derek to escape. I KNEW IT! I KNEW HE’S GONNA BE A GOOD WEREWOLF! Anyway, so Lydia was separated from the gang to help convince Derek to escape. If anyone wants to know, yes, he did manage to escape with Cora only to be called back via Lydia by Jennifer. Oh yes, when Kali was all about to kill Lydia for not revealing where Derek went, Jennifer, like Batman, came crashing in from the ceiling and of course, we all know what happened here – killed Kali. She also supposedly killed the twins but when Derek arrived (and then left with Jennifer to help her kill Deucalion to save Powerpuff Single Parents), Cora and Lydia found that the twins were still alive. They brought them to Deaton for help.
As for the rest of the gang, Stiles was on route to the nemeton while Scott, Allison and Isaac was held and being questioned by Scott’s own father, whom Scott very obviously didn’t like. Scott’s father had a whole set of weapons the Argents own on the table and decided to question all three of them but Allison is a badass (we all know that) and really smart. She lied to the authority saying that her dad is a security personnel and has to own the weapons. As she pointed to each of the weapons, she detonated the smoke thing and escaped. Smart. The three then went over to meet Deucalion but realized that Stiles wasn’t there. Oh, yes, Stiles, while on route to save his father, crashed into a tree due to the weird storm going on. Anyway, so Scott told Allison and Isaac to find Stiles and save their parents while Scott joined Deucalion.
Scott found a way to get Jennifer to meet them and recorded a video of himself at the place where she could seek revenge – the warehouse. Deucalion and Scott waited and found Derek with Jennifer and the battle began. And now we know Deucalion’s true form. Oh, he’s scary. Yeah. Okay, nightmares! So, obviously, due to his power, he had Jennifer by the neck and told Scott to kill her but Scott refused. Jennifer meanwhile told him that the only way to save his and his friends’ parents were to not kill her. Deucalion told him that it’s all a lie because she’s going to kill them anyway by burying them alive. And he’s right…
On route to the nemeton, Isaac sensed the detector that Chris Argent used to attract werewolves and found the door leading to the room where the parents were held in. While releasing the parents, the ceiling above them caved in about to bury them in but Isaac, using his werewolf power tried to keep the ceiling up but the lunar eclipse was up and he was getting weak. Talking about that…
For 15 minutes, Deucalion, Scott and Derek were without their werewolf powers and with that window of opportunity, Jennifer escaped, only to come back in her Darach form and smashed Deucalion’s head onto the ground. Derek stopped her saying that Deucalion didn’t know how she turned to look like, indicating that it’s not entirely his fault. She then began to give him the power of his sight back only for him to open his eyes to the real face of Darach. She was about to smash his head in again when Derek stopped her physically this time. And then she felt weak. She told Derek to kill Deucalion for her but he refused and they began to fight. Derek was about to lose the fight until the 15 minutes was over. She ran and protected herself from the werewolves only for Scott to manage to penetrate through the protection because he’s a True Alpha. He threatened to kill her if she didn’t tell him where the parents were held, no matter if it would change his eye colour but before she could tell him, Deucalion came over and slit her throat. Oh well… So what happened to the parents now?
Well, the parents, Allison and Isaac were all alive thanks to the brilliant mind of Stiles who saved them with a bat. Of course… it’s the trusted bat.
So it’s all a happy ending. Derek and Scott released Deucalion, who had his sight back. The twins were alive and Aidan and Lydia are together while his twin brother is all smiley and relationship-y with Danny. Isaac and Allison seemed to be together for real. Derek and Cora left the town. Scott told Deaton that he was right – he felt the darkness inside of him but whenever he did feel it, he would look to his friends and Stiles was there alongside him. BROS 5EVER!
But did the episode end there? Of course not. Jennifer was hanging by the thread of life and begged the nemeton to save her one more time but she was stopped by… Peter Hale. What? She told Peter that he wanted to steal Scott’s power so that he could be an alpha again. Hearing that, he killed her and shouted to the world that he’s the alpha. What? What did Jennifer mean by “again”? And what? What is going on?
I’m guessing Season 3B will revolve around this.
So what does Siti think about the episode? Personally, I love it. It’s all wrapped up pretty neatly. Some TV shows rushed through their final episodes for the season but Teen Wolf managed to keep it slow and steady. But at the same time, get the audience to stay tune to the next season (in this case, Season 3B) pondering what is going to happen next with what they gave at the end there.
So, all in all, Siti is satisfied and can’t wait for Season 3B next year. See you guys then for my reviews on Teen Wolf.
Coming up next in my TV reviews will be Glee, which will premiere in September. What will happen to the show now that one of its main cast members has tragically died? Well, tune in to my reviews for Glee starting September.
