Yes, Avicii’s “Wake Me Up”!

Yesterday, the song manages to still be at the top of BBC Radio 1’s official chart show. One Direction’s “Best Song Ever”, even with its 12.5 million views in 24 hours on YouTube, failed to get that song off the chart. Avicii’s “Wake Me Up” has withstood the power of One Directioners and the dance music fans can rejoice. It is now the fastest selling single of the year in the UK.

Personally, I love the song. In the beginning, it gave the illusion of a country song and then the beat comes in and it’s dance time! I never ever thought that country would go well with dance music but Avicii managed to do it and do it really well, mixing the two genres together.

And getting to No. 1 in the UK means that I’m not the only one who loves what he has done there.
