And the plot thickened in this episode of Teen Wolf. Did you know that werewolves are afraid of fireflies? Yeah, me neither. Also, a screencap of Allison being a badass. You’re welcome.
Review is under the cut because of possible spoilers…
So, Boyd and Cora were on the loose and hungry to kill. Obviously, Scott, Derek and Isaac were there to catch them. Or at least try. But even with their werewolves’ senses, these lads were not able to catch them so they engaged the help of Mr. Argent, who initially rejected Scott. He’s really trying hard to stay away after he lost his sister and wife. Good job, Mr. Argent. I actually like him. Team Human and all. He’s genuinely a good man, trying to do his best for his daughter, you know.
Anyway, talking about his wife, Allison finally found out from Scott the truth about her mother. I thought she was going to get really pissed at Scott but after his explanation that he didn’t want her perception of her mother to change, well, if I were in her shoes, I would feel that that was really gentlemanly of him. So, she decided to get her badass-ness back and help Scott. Thus, getting Boyd and Cora into the school, which was the plan of Mr. Argent and the three lads. Why is it always the school? I swear to God. Isaac saw Allison with her bow and arrow and now I wonder what will happen next episode if her father knows about it. So, anyway, she managed to get Boyd and Cora into the school but it was probably a bad idea because the English teacher was still working in school. Really? I mean, go home, woman! Mark the papers at home. Duh! And staying in school late is creepy. Anyone knows that. Horror films definitely taught us that. Derek and Scott managed to lock Boyd and Cora in the boiler room only for Scott to find out through his tingling werewolf’s ears that there was another person in the room. So, Derek being Derek risked killing himself by saving the teacher. Yay! By the way, I love Team Human and Team Werewolf working together. And also, what is the deal with Peter? I guess he’s there to inform Derek exactly what the alpha pack wants. I don’t know. I find him suspicious. But I might be wrong.
Anyone remember Heather, the girl who wanted to lose her virginity to Stiles? Yeah, they found her. She’s dead, along with two other people. You know, this show is about werewolves. But I’m thinking that Jeff Davis kind of inserted a little bit of his other show, Criminal Minds, in this episode. I guess having a dad as a sheriff works in Stiles’ favour. He’s really good at this investigating thing. So Stiles figured out the common factor with all three victims – virgin. And since he’s smart, he also found out that these three victims are human sacrifices, which is called “three full deaths”. Something like that. Yeah, someone human or werewolf is out there killing virgins! Say it with me: Criminal Minds. Do you know what my first thought is? Stiles is a virgin. Would he be in trouble?
Overall, I love this episode. To be honest, I don’t think I would love Teen Wolf but for an MTV show, it is a really good TV series. Also, I love that they didn’t make a big deal about showing the lesbian couple in the beginning of the episode. Teen Wolf has quite a good representation of LGBT people. What I like about it is its ability to show these characters like any other characters on the show. It’s not just that. Despite the weird effects at times, the show has good continuity. The plot keeps moving forward and kept the viewers (and me) interested.
The trailer for next episode called “Unleashed”…
