I am so incredibly excited after watching this episode. The ending is so epic that I can’t wait to tell you the epicness of this episode!

And since I can’t wait any longer, here is my recap of the epicness that is “And Now His Watch Is Ended”.( I know it’s just the way they probably talk but goodness, I twitched a little at that title.)

Somewhere in Riverlands

Jaime and Brienne were brought somewhere by the men whom I still have no idea who they are and which side they are on. Jaime, with his sword hand cut off and now hanging around his neck, fell off his horse. He begged for water but was taunted instead and given horse piss (Ewww). Somehow, he stole one of the men’s sword and tried to fight them with his left hand but due to his weakened situation and that he’s not strong with his left hand, he was quickly beaten down. Brienne wanted to help but she, too, was restrained.

In the camp, Jaime refused to eat and told Brienne he wanted to die but Brienne told him to quit it and stopped acting like a woman. Errr… Brienne, you’re a woman too, remember? Not all women are weak. Oh well, she hasn’t met Margaery and Daenerys yet. Anyway, she told him to eat and continue to live so he can seek his revenge. Afterwards, she told him that she knew he saved her from getting raped by the men because of what he told them of Tarth. She asked him why but we never knew his answer. Either that, or we will find out in future episodes. Damn!

Meanwhile, Arya, Gendry and Sandor Clegane, with their faces covered, were transported to where the Brotherhood without Banners stay hidden. Once there, they were introduced to Beric Dondarrion. Here, we found out that the Brotherhood without Banners is basically a Brotherhood without Banners. No, literally. They do not side with anybody in this war. Sandor basically called them out as cowards because they ran away from the war. But Beric said that if the poor were harmed, they would be the one protecting them. I guess, they are like Robin Hood? No? Haha! During this whole thing, Gendry looked sort of interested. I don’t know. Just my observation. Anyway, Beric called Sandor a murderer but Sandor denied that saying he just do what was told of him. Arya, however, told them that Sandor killed Micah, the butcher’s son. Oh, that’s the boy he killed that Arya was coming at him for in the last episode! I didn’t know. So, Beric sentenced Sandor to trial by combat with… Beric himself. Woah! I had a scare to be honest when Sandor mentioned Arya. I was like: “She’s just a little girl, dammit, Sandor!” I was about to murder him myself through the screen until Beric volunteered himself to fight. Heh!

In the North

Bran had another dream of the three-eyed crow. This time, he was chasing after the crow but it was perched at the top of a tree. In the dream, Jojen (hey, cutie! You’re too young for me but you’re still cute) told him to go after it. So, Bran climbed up said tree and when he was walking on the branch to get to the crow, Catelyn appeared and scolded him telling him to promise not to climb anymore but somehow, while screaming his mother, he fell and woke up to reality. Bran looked over at Jojen who looked at him with this face. I don’t even know what this means. What does this mean?

Elsewhere, Theon and the cleaning boy was riding to wherever his sister was waiting for him. While underground, Theon told his saviour that he didn’t kill the Stark boys. They were actually not found. He instead ordered someone to kill two orphans and burned them to pose as the Stark boys so that he could reclaim Winterfell. He seemed guilty about it. Well, yeah, you should, you idiot. He did all this to make his father proud. The cleaning boy said that it’s not too late. Theon cried and said that it is. His real father lost his head at King’s Landing. Okay, wait, now I’m confused. I don’t read the book, see. So, he just told the cleaning boy that his real father is Ned Stark? He was telling him way before that that he’s not a Stark. But now he’s saying that he felt that his real father is Ned Stark? What the hell, man! So he did feel guilty and he felt that he made the wrong choice. Oh, really? The Starks treated you like a family and that was what you did and now you felt guilty? Oh my God, can I just smack him?

Anyway, they got into the gate and to a room where apparently, his sister was waiting for him but no, he was brought back to the dungeon where he was kept earlier! What? The cleaning boy told the men that Theon killed his captors and they tied him back to the cross. What is going on here?

Beyond the Wall

The Nightwatch men was made to clean and take care of the pigs at the village that they were still at. Why are they still there? Anyway, Samwell visited the woman, whose name is Gilly (I Googled). She was afraid that Craster would find out that she bored a son and not daughter. (I kept misspelling Craster name as Castus, by the way. Still not over Spartacus. Haha!) Uh-oh! I feel like Craster is a pig. Why does he just want a daughter and then proceed to rape them to bore him another daughter? That is one sick man, I tell you.

Later, the Nightwatch buried their fellow man who died of a broken foot and starvation, I guess. They then went inside Craster’s house and watched him eat while they tried to get as much heat from the place as possible. One of the men, in his rage, called Craster a bastard. Craster, angered by the insult, warned if they called him bastard, he would cut off their hands with his axe. Oh dear, what is this show with chopping off people’s hands? One of them called him a bastard again so Craster lunged at him only to be stabbed and died. A fight broke out and one of them stabbed the lord commander. The Lord Commander went after him and strangled him but blood was oozing out of his mouth (Gross!) and he fell down to the ground. The man then stabbed him repeatedly. Amidst the chaos, Samwell ran away and flee from the place with Gilly and her son.

King’s Landing

Tyrion came to Lord Varys and asked if he has any proof that his sister wanted him killed but all Lord Varys had were just rumours. Lord Varys, while opening a wooden crate, told Tyrion the story of how he became a eunuch – he was castrated by a sorcerer and his thingymajiggy was burned in a fire. When it was burned, a voice came on to answer the sorcerer’s call. Apparently, Lord Varys had constant nightmares of that moment. He slowly rise up from where he was to where he is now. It should be noted that while the story was being told, ominous music came on and Tyrion was looking at the crate while he’s putting two and two together. After the story, Lord Varys opened the crate to reveal the sorcerer, bloodied and tied up, and told Tyrion that he would get his revenge too. Oooooh…

Still on Lord Varys, he was chatting with Ros about Podrick. Apparently, he has a huge dick. Wait, that’s why the prostitutes gave him free service? Just because he’s big down there? Man… Anyway, Ros then told Lord Varys that Littlefinger wanted to bring Sansa with him when he goes to marry Lady Arryn. Lord Varys found this interesting and met with Margaery’s grandmother and told her about Littlefinger’s interest in Sansa and wanted to find out her interest in Sansa as well, to which she just replied that Sansa had an interesting childhood. Lord Varys told her that Littlefinger now had both land and wealth and all he would need is an army to complete it. If Littlefinger has Sansa with him and Robb Stark falls, Sansa would be the key to the North. So, Lord Varys had a suggestion for her to help Sansa, which we will find out later.

In another story, Joffrey took Margaery for a tour in some place which he pointed out where their enemies were buried while her grandmother and Cersei were discussing the wedding. Joffrey was smitten by Margaery. Oh boy… she’s good. They then heard the crowd’s noise outside. Joffrey seemed scared by the crowd because of what happened the last time he was out in public but Margaery told him that the crowd loved him after he defended King’s Landing and persuaded him to step out to the balcony to greet them. Cersei tried to stop them but her worries were unwarranted as the crowd calling Margaery’s name waved at her as she waved back. Joffrey then waved to the crowd as the crowd chanted his name. She’s one smart woman, Margaery is.

Seeing this happening before her eyes, Cersei went to meet her father but he’s being a jerk and ignored her presence. When he did acknowledge her presence, she asked what they were doing to get Jaime back. Oh, if she were to find out what happened to Jaime. Anyway, he replied he’s doing whatever he could to get him back. When she didn’t leave, she confessed that she’s not comfortable with the Tyrells but he’s having none of it as Tyrells helped them to win the last battle. Cersei mentioned how she found Margaery to be manipulating Joffrey, to which he replied that it’s what she was supposed to do. Okay…

Anyway, back to Margaery, she found Sansa praying by the rocks and asked her what she was praying for. Sansa refused to reply to that. Margaery then told her the story of how she prayed that her beautiful cousin got some skin disease, which was a lie. Okay, she’s a tease. That is cute. But the beautiful cousin was still apparently beautiful and married and have many kids. Sansa told her that her cousin would be jealous when she sees her married to Joffrey and would soon be queen. Margaery told her how much she wanted Sansa to visit Highgarden. Sansa said that Cersei would not let her go but Margaery said that she would be queen and she would want Sansa to marry Loras and they would be sisters. Okay, wait what? I am still not over Loras and Renly, dammit! Noooo… even though that would save Sansa from Littlefinger but still…

Across the Narrow Sea

Daenerys received her 8,000 slave soldiers plus the partly-trained ones from the slave owner while she brought him one of her dragons as Jorah, Barristan and Missandei looked on. The crowd gathered to see the dragon as she gave it to him. Nooooo… The slave owner gave her his whip as a sign that she is now the owner of the slave soldiers, the Unsullied. She confirmed then that the deal was done and walked away. She looked super sad as she was walking away and the dragon was squawking away. She was walking away from her baby! She then commanded the slave soldiers in… Valyrian! That surprised Missandei, Jorah and Barristan. What the hell! All along she knew that the slave owner had been insulting her! I’m bowing down to her now. She’s been waiting till this day to do this. Missandei had a look on her face, full of respect. Oh yeah! When the slave owner asked if she speak Valyrian, she replied that she’s of House Targaryen of the blood of Old Valyrian and it’s her mother tongue. Oh boy, you in trouble, slave owner. Daenerys then commanded her army to kill the masters and release the chains from the other slaves. When the slave owner told his guards to kill her, she just said one word to the dragon and he was literally fried. Jorah and Barristan didn’t even need to do anything. The soldier slaves were doing what she told them to do, without hurting the children and their mothers.

At the end of it all, she told the soldier slaves that they are free men and they are free to go, no one would stop them. No one left. She told them that if they stay, they would fight for her as free men. At first, there was no reply until one soldier stomped the ground and everyone followed suit. Daenerys departed with her army and the slaves that she freed and her dragons.

That was so epic! Oh man, the rest of them need to fear Daenerys. She has 8,000++ soldiers and three dragons! Holy shit! This is going to be so interesting. Daenerys proved to be one of the powerful characters on the show. I think one of the reasons why I love this show is because they have strong female characters – Daenerys, Margaery, Cersei (even if she can be one conniving bitch), Brienne, Arya, Catelyn. They are all strong female characters in their own way, which some shows lack.

I can’t wait for next episode although we might not see Daenerys next week. I haven’t watched the next episode preview yet though. I’m just taking a guess.
